Lodestar Grooming

The pomade is creamy, and very easy to apply to the hair. The cerulean scent is amazing! No tugging, and very surprisingly is how this holds. It says a medium hold, but it feels strong, not complaining tho. Overall, 10/10 product, will buy more of these in the future!

Used this with argan oil for my 3c coils. Hair is longer on top and this pomade kept them in place without overdrying. Will buy again.

An absolutely incredible product. I've never really used any type of wax cream but this product works no matter how I style it, it just puts my hair where it needs to be. Great work Lodestar!

I’ve never tried a smaller “home brew” company before when it comes to hair stylers but Lodestar has far and away proven to decimate the competition. I’ve tried the best salons have to offer and when it comes to scoop, consistency, application, ease of styling, hold, and performance throughout the day this is the best I’ve ever tried. Will definitely be purchasing from this brand again.

I've been looking for a replacement for a molding clay product I used for over 15 years, and was recommended to Rio after trying literally over 20+ clays. Rio has a smooth scoop, great application, and long-lasting all day medium hold that I can re-work as needed. I will be buying more of this, and additional Lodestar products soon! Thank you Lodestar for making Rio! Please don't stop making it :)

My hair type is fine and wavy,
I apply product in damp or towel dry hair and has no pull or tug, I then blow dry, has good volume and I would say medium hold with a natural shine. Great product the only complain is the cerulean scent is way to strong. I will try the clarity scent next time, over all I am happy with the product and would recommend.

Like others have said, there is SO much you can do with this product. For me, it works great as a prestyler, a finishing product, on damp hair, on dry hair, on both longer and shorter hairstyles, etc. It does a great job of controlling the hair and providing solid volume. You can easily get a medium to medium-firm hold out of it depending on how much you use. It truly feels like the perfect blend of Everglade and Tsunami. I love all of Kathy's products, but I REALLY love this one.

Terracotta is a great soft clay that scoops like a thick cream and works like wonder on top of more conditioning products like Everglade, providing a beautiful matte finish and a great subtle texture as well as a medium to strong hold. This is a great product for people looking for a clay that is easy to work with and doesn’t dry your hair. The scent is also amazing, earthy and floral.

This styling cream from Lodestar is extremely versatile and consistent. It sports a low hold and a matte finish. It pairs really well as a base for stronger products, but also works beautifully for relaxed styles. It’s also very conditioning and feels great in the hair. You can’t go wrong with this one. Tried and true for a reason.
