Terracotta Styling Cream

This is a great soft clay for people with short to medium hairstyles. Scent is great, very fresh and earthy with some floral and woody notes. Hold is medium to firm and holds for around 5 to 6 hours. I think it offers some solid texture and volume even when used as a post styler. Pairs well with most products as well.

Hair type - dry, wavy/curly, short side part.

This product is killer. Finish is matte to natural. A little dry but not too much. Scent is strong and addicting. Get whiffs of it all day. Hold is a solid medium but keeps the hair soft. Texture is middle of the road. Some texture but still smooth.

Hands down one of the best products I've tried this year. Not only that but that scent! Reminds me of a bit of Tabarome and a little of Meteor Shower from Nostalgic Grooming. But somehow better. The citrus notes literally sparkle when smelling it - very effervescent.

Ten out of ten on this. Reminds me in styling to Rio, but I can already tell it's not going to be as dry. The scoop is ridiculously satisfying. Breakdown is no problem. Application gives a little pull but nothing bad. Definitely one of the few that I will likely use until I run out.

In my collection of dozens of different products, this is one that I consistently find myself reaching for again and again. Terracotta is extremely versatile, allowing for looser or more put-together styles depending on what you're going for. Regardless of what style you're going for, you can expect a medium/firm hold depending on how much you add, and the finish stays natural without looking too dry. Even at the longest length my hair had ever been, Terracotta applied easily and was able to keep everything in place. The advertising for this product is spot-on, and I would argue that this scent has taken the lead as my favorite fragrance offered from the line. I never had the opportunity to try the original Terracotta made by White Label Grooming, but I can confidently say that this version made by Lodestar is doing its predecessor justice.

It's no secret that Lodestar releases banger after banger, but Terracotta might take the crown as their best texture product in the lineup. Whether you're going for a loose or tight style, Terracotta can do it thanks to a slight waxy presence that lets you know the hold and shape won't disappear after a couple of hours. Labeled as a styling cream, Terracotta is more of a clay that gives a beautiful and healthy matte finish. Pair that with one of the best scents on the market, and you've got another 5/5 product.
